I am trying to make all the doors in my model to swing at 45 degrees instead of 90. I went into the single flush doors and edited them and saved them as single flush 45 degrees and then went through and changed them and that worked just fine. I am now trying to change the double flush doors in my model and I am not having any luck. All I did in the single flush door was rotate the symbolic lines that made up the door. When I try that with the double door it gives me all these errors for constraints and stuff like that. I tried removing the constraints and I got the door in the family editor to be at 45 degrees, but when I go and change them in the model, it either says that the door can not be created, or it is not cutting anything, or it does show up but the swings are not 45, but something like 50 or 60 or the swings are not equal to each other, one is larger than the other. Any help on how to do this would be appreciated. Thanks

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

Thanks for the door. I do have a couple issues though. 1st, when the door is inserted, and I change the swings, I get two sets of doors. So, the swing and the extrusion for the door panels are both changed and offset from one another. I fixed that problem by turning the extrusion visibility off in plan views and that worked fine. The second issue though I have not fixed. I have doors that are in different wall thickness' and so when I insert them, they are halfway back in the wall instead of at the front. Is there some way of making the doors always have a certain offset from the interior or exterior of a wall? In order for me to make this work right now, I would have to go into the door, edit the wall to the thickness I want, save it as a door with that thickness of wall, and insert it. Then, for another thickness of wall, I would have to repeat the process only change the wall thickness and name. That could take a long time. Any ideas? Thanks again
