I know you can set up equal offsets for dimension lines when placing dimensions around a plan, but what about witness lines? (Extension lines in AutoCad). When stretching the ends of witness lines, they don't snap to anything!! It's seems rediculous to have to offset equally spaced lines and roughly stretch the ends of witness lines to them to try and make a drawing look respectable. They should be able to be set up to snap equal distances the same as the actual dimension lines. Anyway it's a boring, time consuming and stupid task, which, if it can't be done some other way, SHOULD BE!!

You then either completely omit the withness lines or just specify their exact distance above and below the dimension line and DO NOT strech them manually. Thus they would all be aligned to each other, provided you're using the same type of dimension.
