I am working on a very large project which has 3 working files and one file where all of the working files are linked together. In the linked file we have copied one of the working files since two or our wings are exactly the same. We did this so that every time we move a wall, etc. in the wing we don't have to move it twice. The wing may be exactly the same, but each wing is on a seperate phase. To address this we have created a phase for each our rooms (different numbers) and are working on getting different numbers (topic for a different thread) for each of the doors. Things have been going great until we got to the door schedule. Since there is a copy of the file there is now two instances of every door. And since there are two phases (one for each wing) there is now 2 copies of each door in phase 1 and phase 2. So here is the question: Is there a way to filter out the duplicate doors? I have explored the following: 1. turning off a workset - not possible in a schedule 2. phasing out some of the doors - still shows two copies of each door. (keep in mind that there are two copies of each door in each phase)

Hi, I am working on Revit 2008. We have standard Cad library for our office. Now we have to convert it into revit which also includes standad door schedule format. Is it possible to save the door schedule in standard format and can be used in multiple projects like we make family library? i hope i am clear.

For long time cad users our hardest lesson to learn is how to think in REVIT terms instead of AutoCAD. You need to really understand REVIT's built in schedule power as well as your project being in one file. We have several "standards" in our new project template including preset sheets for sveral project phases indexed in the browser accordingly. CD phase has the cover sheet ( with title area layed out, code data, sheet index, symbols etc ), wall types sheet, and room and door schedule sheets. We also have pre-established schedules including area summary, CD drawing index, coded notes and door, room finish and toilet accessory schedules. So your answer is YES but learn to do it the REVIT way.
