Hi, I need to know how to cut an opening in a roof for a dormer and still be able to join the separate dormer roof. I've tried and tried, but can not cut a section of the roof without it keeping the fascia board. My time on this Earth is dwindling, and I am sick of this!!!! Hheh Kyle

Not sure what you tried but, I use the opening command and draw what would be just below the intersection of the main roof and dormer roof structure. You might be cutting at the exterior intersection not the interior intersection.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what view are you in when you cut the opening?

Hey thanks Robin, that did it. You were right, gotta cut the interior. So many simple things in REVIT that seems to just take up so much time to figure out, yet they are so simple/ Kyle CW Design
