I have this eave strut and wheni try and change the roof picth it extends the legs. How can i fix this?

It's your profile that's causing the problem. From what i can see you would like the longest face to remain a constant length. You need to place a locked dimension on a reference plane or line, then create your profile lines to it. I was trying to fix it, but there are too many measurements and angles to figure out exactly what you want where. What you want to do with busy families is to create all the necessary reference planes and reference lines and dimensions you need, flex the family, then lastly draw your family lines, extrusions, etc. Sorry I couldn't help you any more.
