Does anyone know how to do this? A thickened wall at the gable end above the roof plate height. Often times this is placed over the gable end windows on a 1 1/2 story residence with a finished attic. I tried using a stacked wall but it did not clean up well when I attached it to the roof. I was hoping it could be a stacked wall that would trim itself to the roof when I attached it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If you are making a cross section through it, you could create a family for it. Sounds like you might use it a little often. Otherwise if it's just for elevations, you could get away with just drawing a wall, float it in the air and edit the profile to match your roof. you could also use this method with a section and use detail items to draw in what you need to show. Use align and reference planes liberally.
