I figured out how to bring objects into revit from 3ds max however i have to go through arch.desktop. From arch.desktop to revit i lose all materials and details and end up with tons of lines. Is there a way to bring a complete object into revit from 3ds without distorting it and is there a way you can by pass going through arch.desktop.

as far as I know, you can't get the materials assigned in Max into Revit. I assume you already know that when you export to dwg that you have to go into ADT or ACAD to change the colors to bylayer just to get Revit to be able to put materials onto the object properly. That's my experience with it. I don't know about the lines though. Never had that problem.
