My firm structural engineering) is getting ready to work on a project with the architect also using revit. We have done several projects in revit, but none where the architect is also using it. My question is, how do we use their building model in our office? Do we just use the building model as a backround for our structural model, or do we take their model and add our structural components to it? how do changes to either model get made/tracked? Any information on the coordination between arch/structural would be helpful.

I would think you could use ther model and just set up a workset for your structural part.
