I'm a drafting student working on a commercial building project in school. At the entryway of the main floor is a recessed mat 8' X 10' in a 6" deep conc. floor. I plan on using Revit's "Foot Grille - Section" detail component to detail this mat. It looks like it is 1 11/16" deep. I don't know how to get the hole in the floor for this mat. It would make sense to me that it would be a simple command (like doing a door or window) however I can't seem to find anything on making a 8' x 10' x 1 11/16" DP hole in my floor. Can anyone help?

Create a family of type Floor, create a Void and cut it away from the floor. If you don't mind cutting all the way through the floor just edit the floor and draw a rectangle around the area like you would a stair well.
