Does anyone out know where one can find a good manual which explains the relationships of the various family components? In other words, where can I go to find out the concepts behind how to control/manipulate and find the proper syntax for the items which constitute a family i.e. Labels, Formulas and Parameters? The Revit Users manual is cryptic at best on this and all the tutorial books are limited in their analysis.

For example, I created a Ceiling Tag with a shared parameter type label which displayes the Ceiling Type Designation. It works in view and the schedule but it took me a long time to figure out. Now I am in the process of trying to add another label to this tag which will give me the height off a "designated" level i.e. A.F.F. in spite of the fact that the ceilings and soffits are constained by their own levels. Note: If you have a solution let me know.

The above is an example of what I am having a hard time finding information on and would appreciate any leads in this. It is really frustrating not having a good "family" reference book around. Or am I missing the big picture?
