When I create crop regions in my wall section to make it fit on a page, it does something funny to the dimensions I create afterward:

The dimension text is (extremely) not centered on the string, and I cannot select the grip to move the text to its proper location.

Anybody out there have this problem before?

Also, how can I align the crop regeons of my wall section to the crop regions of my elevation on the same sheet?

thanks thanks thanks!

This is a problem with dimensions that run across wall sections. The only work around I have found is using the Fake Dimension family floating around the content library here on RC. At one point, I played around with moving the dimension itself enough to where it fixed the problem, but I have never been able to get it to do that since Sad This may need to be address in the wish list. Sorry for the bad news.

As far as aligning your crop regions, I can only think of using Reference Planes.  I'm not sure they will auto align like your components will.

HTH.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

If I'm understanding your problem correctly, I usually put my wall sections back together when I have a crossing dimension, then I can move the dimension text into my viewing area and re-brake the section.

thanks for your help, both.

rkitect -- is the "Fake Dimension" in the "Downloads" section?  I've tried searching for "fake" and "dimension" there, but I couldn't find it.

thanks again!

I'm pretty sure I got the fake dimension family from a forum thread. It may have even been on AUGI. I've included it here to make your search a bit easier Winking

To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with the family but it did help once I tweaked it a bit.
