How is the best way to show screening as on a screened porch? Would like to be able to have visibility through the screen. Any pointers will be appreciated.

my suggestion... take my tutorial on "creating a transparency map" I think you'll find it's the best way to accomplish your goal. http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/transparency_mapping/tutorial.php

I represented screen in the image http://www.revitcity.com/gallery.php?action=view&gallery_id=490 by starting with frosted glcurseand playing with the settings until it looked like screening. You can make a mesh material but, unless you're doing a close up, it will just bog down your scene and create moire patterns. I know, I tried it.
