I have structural columns inserted in my floor plan which are inside of walls and visible. When I go to the detail call out view to finish the detailing the wall is hiding hte column. How do I get the columns to show in detail view?

Never mind. I found the check box for "Show family pre-cut in" in the family catagory and parameters of the column.

I was having the same issue and that indeed did the trick but is there any downside to deselecting that option? The wording of it doesn't make much sense 'show family pre-cut in plan views'. What does that have to do with it not showing up in detail views? Thanks

I have not seen any down side to changing this setting. I'm still not sure what the wording actually means but it fixed our problem.
