I needed to end up with a door whose frame was shared with a window. I started by creating a new window family. Was successful at extruding the door frame with it's adjacent window frame all in one piece, extruded the window glass, and even managed a door with a vision panel in it. Being as I started this from a window template you could say, when I placed it in the plan the only tag I could attach to it was a window tag, but I figured that is what would happen. How do I now go about scheduling the door? Is there a custom tag (other than a door tag) that the door schedule will recognize? Before this I had two separate items. One was the door with its frame and the other was a window with a frame only on three sides (it was missing the frame that was closest to the door.) Those two I could place adjacent to each other in plan with no wall in between and they both would get scheduled separately..... I just figured that there would be a slick way to have it all as one piece, window, frame and door..... and I managed it other than getting the door tagged and hence scheduled. Could someone please enlighten me as to what I need to do to get this accomplished? As always, thanks in advance.

...figured it out: Create a family with nested (and shared) families within. Then each family tags separately.
