I know there is a simple solution to my problem but I can not figure it out. I have made a new fascia profile and losded it into my project but can not load it into the host sweep fasica profile. I have noticed the profiles in the pull down are system familes. How do i load my profile into the fascia family?

You will need to start your fascia, and then go to properties. Edit/New, and then Duplicate, Name the new type something that fits. Now, in the construction section (near the top of your type properties box) you will see a parameter called profile, select you new profile here. Then OK / OK to get out. Now, you are ready to start placing your fascia. Hope this helps.
