I'm pretty new to Revit Building and for the life of me can not figure out how to create crown molding and base boards. Help appreciated!

You edit an existing wall by making a duplicate of it. Be sure to hit the preview button (gives you the choice of plan or section views) click on section view, and suddenly the option to add sweeps are available on the wall edit screen. If the pre-made profiles don't fit your design, you will have to create new profile families and then load them into your wall as sweeps. The family editor tutorial should give you the basic info on all this. One thing to watch out for is that sweeps don't always miter at corners correctly, particularly where more than two walls come together. You end up with gaps in your sweeps. Another irritant is that sweeps on exterior walls sometimes don't stop at door frames and run over the frame to the door while the wall above the sweep stops, properly, at the frame. In these cases, you have to place your cursor over the end of the sweep, hit tab until "shape handle" comes up in the info bar down below, click again and the end of the sweep is highlighted. You can then click hold and drag the sweep to the proper location. You can do this in plan, elevation, and 3D (sometimes) views. It is a pain in the butt, slow process, but it is a dumb looking detail until you do it. Good Luck.

you can also use line based sweeps if you run into trouble. create and name a reference plane at the level of your sweep, then move to plan view and use the select arrow to place lines on your walls, then use the sweep on the lines just created.

Thanks...that did the trick. While I have some captive and experienced users... I am looking for some very detailed cabinets that one would expect to find in a ultr-luxury residence. Is there a resource for this, or do I have to model them. If the latter...what is the best way??
