If this question has already been answered, I’m sorry to have interrupted you. But in the event it hasn’t…..Is there any way to turn “off” the brick hatch in a wall section while still maintaining the hatch pattern in the same wall section’s repeating detail (king size brick). Is there a way to turn it “on” and “off” by view? Am I blind and don’t see the line item “hatch” in VG? One way, I guess, might be to greatly increase the scale of the hatch (to 1”, for example) by editing the wall but then it barely shows up in plan view. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks y’all for your time. ~STW~

well, you get to the hatch pattern in the materials section under settings. find your wall material (brick in your case, or whatever it is called) in the large materials list and select it. on the right of your screen is a place for surface patterns and cut section patterns. you can edit it and just turn it off there if you like. you have to find the right material name which you can find buried in the properties of the wall in question. if you don't want to have this happen over and over, then you will also have to change this setting in your template file.

Thank you framerman….. I tried it and perhaps I’m not following your instructions correctly, cause when I turn off the brick hatch in the materials settings (by clicking on "none" it turns it off everywhere and that’s not what I want. I want it to appear in the floor plans but not in wall sections. In the latter I want the diagonal hatch of the brick to be turned off so I can show the diagonal hatch of the brick repeating detail that I made. Reason being for that is the scale of the brick hatch on the wall section combined with that of the repeating detail makes for a very fussy section. Plus, I don’t want the brick hatch to be passing through mortar joints….. I know…. I’m very particular….. (to be p/c…. )

I apologize for the goofy smileys.... I guess the combination of characters in the middle of the text made for one. I only intended the one at the very end. I wish there was a preview button before submit.

Use the Visibility Graphics - VG - .... From there you can turn off the hatch. NOTE - It will be for all the wall hatches in the section you are in.
