I have made a truss as a component in the imperial library.  I'm trying to load it into the project, but it wont stick.  keeps defaulting back to an appliance.  ??? should i create the truss INSIDE the project?

When you click on component to load your truss the application will give you the last thing you loaded....in your case an appliacne. Click the down arrow next to the appliance name and you should see the truss you built.

Also, if you keep having trouble getting it to load, there's some really good trusses here in the download section that might fit what you're looking for.

check to see if your truss is under the structural tab>beam section.

thanks that was helpful.

there are constraints in the file where i created the truss, cause i started with a template in the imperial library

i cannot erase these constraints and they're messing me up a bit when i try to place the truss?
