i have made a stacked wall, it is thicker on the bottom than the top.  the bottom wall is given a height and the top is the variable.  when i attach the wall to the roof, sometimes the bottom 1/2 attaches all the way up.  why does this happen?

I haven't seen that happen since Revit 7 when they were first ironing out the bugs in Stacked Walls.

If you can post an isolated part of the model I'll be able to help more as it really shouldn't be happening in Revit 8 or later.

Make sure you aren't specifically tab selecting the bottom part of the wall and attaching that or the wall hasn't been broken from being a stacked wall.  Also make sure the roof that its supposed to be attaching to is properly overlaps the wall.

I have the same problem. Even in a very simple model.I think that I have read the solution somewhere but I forgot where. Something to do with joining the parts of the stacked wall?
