I realize this may sound like a stupid question but I just can't seem to figure this out. How do I get the materials libraries such as accurender, user, etc. that show up in the project files to also show up in while creating a family? Do I have to create the same ones over again. I really think that I'm just missing a step because REVIT seems way too database sofisticated for that. Your input is greatly appreciated.

All your materials are able to be accessed while making a new family. While making the item, go to its Properties<Materials & Finishes and where it sat <By Category> there is a arrow at the end. Click the arrow and it will take you to the materials. To go to your accurender etc. click on the arrow after the Texture box. Hope this helped.
