Hi Folks, Does anyone know if there is a way to format a keynote legend so that each division is separated by a blank line and a header...as shown in the attached image? Chaim

You can do that if you want....But the Header will never print in any schedule.

In the past, we have bypassed the Revit keynote legend opting to make out own dumb schedule. We ran into some coordination problems with it on the last project we completed so now I am insisting that we use the Revit schedule. However, it looks like crap. I want to be able to sort the CSI divisions by division number (for example all concrete keynotes will be listed under Division 03 - Concrete). I tried to add a label to the keynote family but was not able to. Any way to make the keynote legend not look like crap?

If numbering by keynote number, they will be sorted by the number you gave them in the keynote file. Have you ever thought about multiple keynote schedules filtered for beginning numbers and titled according to division...

WW, can you give me a little more help? That sounds like what I need to do but I don't know how to go about doing it. Thanks

Just duplicate your keynote legend multiple times and edit each one setting a filter ...maybe beginning with 01 for division 1... beginiing with 02 for division 2 - etc. Title each accordingly and paste one below the other on your sheets. You will have to maually adjust their placement because they will not stack automatically.

Is this what you do for your keynote legends? I'm trying to establish a 'best practices' manual for my firm and if there are better ways of producing this I'm all for it.

NO ..NO NO ... It is not what we do. I was responding to what you wanted. We have a simple keynote file that is numbered consecutively. It does not have any separations / headers in it other that the title.
