We are using details drafted in ACAD, imported to a drafting view in Revit.  In Revit we add annotation and dims, and then place on a Revit sheet.  The biggest issue we have is not being abe to keynote these linked details in revit...it is actually turning into a deal-breaker.  is tehre a work-around?

By 'keynoting' do you mean being able to reference them with a callout, section or elevation?

If so, yes you can.  When placing the detail, callout or section be sure to check the reference other view box and pick the drafting view you want to be referenced.  Revit will manage the detail and sheet number for you.

I should have been more clear...I meant thyat I wanted to use the Revit Keynoting tools.  Early indications form other sources is that i am out of luck.  i cant imagine that other folks, with huge CAD detail archives, have not run into this.

We're using keynoting to Condoc our materials. Try using the "User" option with the keynote for the items that don't have embedded data, sort of like loose text but it will still schedule.
