I am a new user to REvit City but have been working with Revit systems for a while now.

Our firm is currently working with Revit Series Building 9.1. In previous versions I was able to import Autocad contours lines and surevy elevation points to create a topo surface. I seem to be haveing difficulty repeating this task. Not sure if I have missed something or if Revit 9.1 has some bugs with the site tabs. Can anyone help.

THanks

Darrell

I had the same problem yesterday with Revit 9.1.  Try downloading the latest build just posted today to see if it clears up the problem. [I haven't had time to try yet]

You now have to import the dwg as 3D (ie all views) to perform this function - not sure if it is designed this way or revit has managed to go backwards? Have a go and see if that works

I have found that when importing the the 3d points from autocad files, revit tutorials indicate that the (in this view only), do not check the view only option, points will be imported to generate the topo surface.. This seems to take care of the issue I was having. Thanks for your comments, thanks for the replys. I hope to use the revit City site more often as I have come across several useful tips.

FYI, you've always needed to import an autocad contours file in 3D (current view only - not selected) in order to make use of the 3D information in order to generate a topography...  There has been no change in 9.1
