i recovered a lost file from my computer with pc inspector file recovery, but when i try to open it i get the following message: data in file (*.rvt) needs to be manually upgraded, please contact your autodesk revit service provider.

If you receive this error message your only real solution is to do as it says and send the file away for manual upgrading if you don't have another backup somewhere that can be opened...

 

If you did have the original file before it became corrupted, and it did so in a single session you could possibly recreate it using a journal file.  But I'm unsure of your exact circumstances so I'm not sure whether this would be relevant to you.
