Hi, I'm new to Revit of course, and was hoping someone could help me create glazed panels in overhead doors. The only template I found was for a residential size garage door 8'-6" x 8'-6". I need one larger...like 16' x 16'. Each panel is 2' in height and some panels can be insulated and the others can be glazed with three to five sections per panel (depending upon the door width). I have successfully created the new size doors but they don't seem to show the panels in the elevation views but do in the 3D views. I think I'm just missing some important first steps. If someone could lend their expertise at creating families and modifying them, I would be sincerely appreciative.

O.K. Thanks for such a quick response! I don't know how to find/send the original family but I was in the process of creating a new one. Here it is.

try that and see if thats what you need to start. also, download some of the garage doors here with the glass panel in the top or find something close and reverse engineer it to see how things work. the family editor is one of the toughest things to master in revit. good luck and let me know if I can help anymore.

Wow, I am so happy to have such a simple door made! I didn't have the work plane set properly for starters and after viewing another door with panels and glazing, it made sense. I cannot thank you enough! Here's my door.
