I've been working on my first really in depth window family. I'm making a comparison to the Pella Architect Series window family that has been uploaded here, that many of us probably use (which I can't seem to find now). My file size seems much larger than this Pella family (1.43 MB compared to 348 Kb). Is this because I have nested families? Or maybe I have too much detail on the windows? I wanted to be accurate, but really, you can't see it from 4 feet away which is pointless. I did purge the files. Or maybe it's not so big after all? Edited on: Fri, Dec 8, 2006 at 5:57:50 PM

Thats a pretty heavy family. This is purely because you have made it too detailed. Rather simplify it and carry on from there.
