Hay guys and gals, I'm a Revit noob and need some help. I've got a project with 2 floors, both currently on the same level. I need help getting the 2nd floor to be elevated to where it is supposed to be. For whatever reason, after I select the rooms I need elevated and go to properties, there is no way I can see to change their elevation. Any ideas what I need to do? Preferrably without having to change the elevation of every item (dozens in the rooms) on the entire floor. Also, anyone have any advice on how to render images? I want to do that as well and can't figure out how I need to set the settings to put out the type of quality as is seen in many works in the gallery etc. Also, if anyone knows of other good libraries besides the one on thsi site, I would really appreciate a link as I am looking for some items (saloon door, train car and caboose, and others) that aren't in the library here at this fine site. Thanks in advance everyone! -Tavish Hill

You will need to create a new level, (2nd floor) using the level tab. this is best done from an elevation view. Once you create the level you can set it to the desired dimension. After, you can go into properties and move the items to the new level.

Ok, I added the new level where I want it but how do I move the rooms up to it? It will only let me move them left or right, not up and down.

I'm not sure if I am seeing the whole picture. Did you make the floor twice on the same level? Or are you talking about the walls? If it's floors, then you should be able to select the floor, click edit, and set the work plane as Jerome told you from the previous post to the new one you made. This will move your floor up. If it's walls, then you should be able to hover your mouse over a wall, click tab BEFORE you click your mouse, this will highlight most if not all your walls, then in properties, you can set the base to your newly made level and your top will need to be adjusted accordingly. I always restrain mine to another level, like roof plane or such.
