I have created a very thick line pattern and style to represent the fire rating of walls;it is made of dashed lines of different lenghts. when drawn the dashes are close together and they have this weird and horrible "round" end. how can i make revit to draw a line with rectangular ends? please help!!

sorry, but I don't think it's possible. there is...(sigh) a workaround. you can create a filled region. hope you don't have to do multiple times.

Why don't you just make a repeating detail? That is the way that Revit would want you to make that line.  I know it sounds weird for a line, but in AutoCAD the batt is a linetype.  In Revit batt is a repeating detail.  I don't remember all the steps, and I'm not at my station over the weekend.  You can look up Repeating Details in the Revit Help menu.

Reg: FR plans

Hi, I tried a repeating detail component with pattern unit - visually works but doesn't clean-up at the ends so I keep using thick lines for FR plans...
