I am new to revit and require an external door with a level threshold but have found all the standard family doors have raised sills or no sills. I have been playing around with the family editor to get a better understanding of how it works and have managed to create a pre cast concrete sill and internal timber threshold strip which I added to a simple external door family. I have locked the shapes and added a parameter to enable them to be offset within the wall at the right place and can flex my family and change the position of the sill/threshold. My problem is that these two objects are outside the wall cut out area below the door so that when placed in my building model they overlap the wall structure. Does anyone know can I prioritise these objects as part of the door family to also cut trhough the wall?

Either edit the opening cut in the family to incorporate this, or in the family use join geometry to tell these elements to join geometry with the actual wall. Therefore when they overlap they should clean up. HTH.
