as you work in a project you make changes to the template.. like maybe you change the grid head symbol or maybe you add new families etc.. how do you save just the new version of the template separate from the project for use when starting your next project? also how can i delete one word in this message box without the rest of it deleting as i type over it?

I don't know about your template question but, do you have 'overtype' on. Look for the button on you keyboard marked 'insert' or 'ovt'. This should stop any changes you make to the text writing over your new text.

In your file menu use transfer project standards between your template file and the project you want to copy things from. Then simply select the items you want to copy across. You may then need to delete any extra settings from your template file that could now be incorrect duplicates. HTH.
