Does anyone know why the ceiling looks black when I am rendering it? Gar

check the material assigned to the ceiling..taht alone affects the quality in rendering

I cheated I added a few invisible lights to lighten up the ceiling instead. Thanks

Correct the best way is to add studio lights underneath your regular lights to get some uplighting. I also give the roof material some self illumination also to brighten it up.
