hello,

I've encountered a visualization problem.  on the second floor, floorplan, the floorslab extends over a long staircase.  The floor slab has been edited to make an opening to allow for the stairs to reach the second floor but only the necessary amount.  for some reason, the whole stair is showing on the second floor plan.

Thanks a ton for the help!  I've encountered this before but, apart from doing a filled region in drafting view to cover it up, I don't know how to get it to stop showing like this and plotting as shown.

Are you sure you have your slab on in your visability settings?

Did you temporarily hide the slab?

the slab is on in the visualization settings.  the ONLY thing from the floor below i'm seeing is the continuation of this stair.  nothing else.  it's weird.

Hello,

You could try going into the view properties and set both the bottom primary and the view depth to be zero on that level.

If you have done this, maybe you could post the file so we could look at it.

This reply is well after the question but I just ran into this issue in 2009. In case anyone else comes across this post...

I found out it was due to my view range top setting. It was set to unlimited. When set to unlimited, it showed the stairs through the slab. When I changed the top setting to the upper level clg, stairs were hidden by floor slab.
