Hiii...I'm new to Revitcity forum. I have a case confusing me recently.
When I create a multi-category schedule, it doesn't display all building elements created. No floor, wall, roof, etc. I need to make it for building cost estimation. Someone suggests me to export to ODBC but I'm still don't understand with this feature since I'm new to Revit. Anyone can teach me? Thx.

Okay,
First open excel and create a blank workbook and save it in a location.
In Revit:
Go to File-->Export-->ODBC Database...
Click on Machine Data Source Tab and double click excel files.
Then find the file you just created and click okay.
Now all information from the project will be exported out to this file.
Open the file and each different component is broken up into various tabs, ie: walls, floors, slab edges etc etc.

Interesting.
Try this first:
Go to File-->Export-->ODBC Database...
Where it says DSN Name click NEW.
Navigate down to 'Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls)'
Make sure you pick this name exactly.
Click NEXT,
Now Give it a name, ie Microsoft Excel
Click Finish.
Now select the DSN you just created and click OK and select the *.xls workbook you wish to export to and click ok.
Hopefully this should work.

It works!! Thanks alot Mr. Spot.
Then.... I have to fill the cost for every family's type? The cost parameter is just appear in family's type not in family right? And I have to link and paste each data to new sheet one by one? I hope it's my last question...

The OBDC output into Excell is an output of the B.I.M. database, correct? The fundamental scheduling of all the building elements within your model is not created simply by outputing ALL the database. Have you been able to use Revit in order to make the quantity take-off you mentioned in your initial query, iPang?
