I have created interior elevations of a shower stall. The blue elevation lines are inside the stall because I want to show the sprayer and the seat but all I see is the outside of the enclosure. The 3D and front elevation look fine.
I am also having a problem with under counter casework hidden lines showing in hidden line mode.
Please help.

Please post the file.
Also, please clarify that problem has been isolated to the shower stall family and that no obvious visibility graphics issues seem to be the problem.
Casework is probably a separate issue.

I have attached a file so you can see that the problem is isolated to the shower stall family. I have tried it with different stall families and they all seem to do the same thing. I have also tried it with all of the parts as a single family as well as individual families, all with the same results.

The problem seems to be tied to the shower enclosure family. The elevation view that cuts through the shower does not display correctly. I tried a section view with the same result. I opened up the family to edit/examine; I can't see a problem there.
It looks like Revit gets confused about the fact that the viewing plane runs through the enclosure - this is bizarre and I don't have any idea what is causing it...

Okay, I think I have it.
The family type for the shower enclosure was created as a plumbing family. Some types of families, including this one, are 'noncuttable' - when a view plane cuts through them, they display in projection.
Cuttable families - there is a list of them in 'Help' - allow you to control if and how the family is displayed in section when cut by a viewing plane. But no such luck with families that are uncuttable, apparently.
I don't understand the underlying logistics here yet, but the workaround would seem to be to rebuild the family with something cuttable. Casework is cuttable, for example... You could either build a family or just model an in place family depending on how you will use it in the future.
In either case, I note that the shower enclosure seems to be not cohering with the rest of the shower assembly and appears to need some refinement anyway. I don't know how you intend the enclosure to be represented relative to the face of framing and greenboard/drywall layers, but all the other objects, such as grab bars, shower heads, etc. appear to be set flush to the greenboard, passing totally through the supposed enclosure.

Hello Betty, The family looks realy nice, but the "problem" is that you need to controll the visibility of the enclosure. What you need to do is edit the enclosure family and when you are in the family editor, select the enclosure and on the options bar, select the visibilty tab. When the dialog pops up, just turn off the visibility of the enclosure for the front/back and the left/right. This controlls what view you will see or not see this in. Load it back into your family and you should be good to go. As far as your casework, all you need to is use the line work command and turn them to invisible. You can get this by typing LW or you can pick the icon that looks like a fountain pen on the tool bars. If you don't want to do this, just edit the family and go into the reference level and cahnge the line work to be something else. Also, I noticed that the file size is rather large for a family. It is good practice to purge everything out of the family that you are not using. Files in Revit get rather large and you don't want to bog them down with oversized families. You can get to the "Purge Unused" command through the file menu. Hope this helps. If not, email me and I will help you out with this family. Good luck brettgoodchild@gmail.com
