Or are only .jpg's used? Where do I save or direct the rendering engine to find the saved images for rendering?
I have used a great deal the material images that come with Revit but I am finding some missing materials that I need to add and am not quiet sure how to do it.

yes. jpg, bmp, tga, amd tif. check your other post for the location if you don't mind.
