Those recent "rim board" threads are both cool tricks,...I often cannot figure out how to deal with my 2nd floor stuff. I usuallly jjust draw the floor mass to the inside of the wall, which is wrong...I do no balloon framing projects.....yet otherwise, If I draw teh floor stacked on the wall ,I have to deal with lines in my elevations. You guys got an elegant solution for floor mass edges.

If you saw mine, then what you do is make the "wall" (rim) with the same exterior materials as your walls. This way you get your rim to be in the right place with the siding materials matching the surface of your 2nd floor wall siding. Then to get rid of the lines you can do one of two things.....personally I join geometry of the floors and walls and they disapppear, but you can also use the linework tool and use invisible lines to get rid of the lines. This last way does NOT work in 3d so you have to do your linework in all views you want to get rid of the lines. Thus the reason I join geometry instead.
