i want to build a roof that is a warped plane. in other words, it is a simple rectangle (13'x36' and the left side is high at the back and low in the front and the right side is the opposite. i need to first build a plane that represents the top of the roof which would eventually be corrugated metal and then i need to cut sections where i will be putting structure and then use those cut lines to sweep profiles of the rafters that will support the corrugated roof. this is a no brainer in FormZ and Rhino, just build a ruled surface and start offsetting, sectioning/contouring and then sweep or extrude rectangles along paths to get all of the framing on the right alignments. But, how do you do this in Revit?
