I've to divide a 1:500 floor plan for 3parts in scale 1:200.I used callouts and it works.
BUT....I wanted to make the same on a second floor-and want all callouts to keep in the same place. So i used "copy to clipboard" and "paste-same place" commands.
Now the problem-all 3 Parts have references(plane) from first floor. How to change references to show right plane, or how to draw callouts directly in the same place like on the first floor?
First way(changing references) is easier but possible?

Maybe you want to go to 2nd floor view properties and select your 1st floor as the underlay. Then you could draw your new callouts directly over your 1st floor callouts. Then turn the underlay off, and you will have your callouts in exactly the same place on both floors. Is that more like what you want?
You could try editing the "View Range" of your existing callouts. Open the callout view. Go to "View Properties", and then to "View Range". Set the cut plane to the 2nd level. I'm not sure if Revit will let you change the cutplane of a callout, but it is worth a try.

tx for help
I can't change the cutplane-in callout's properties is "associated level" and this option is noactiv-level is set on the level, where I made a callout.
I think the only way is drowing callout on every level.So-that you can make as you wish with underlay, with copy-paste and then one more time draw...ok. TX for help!

I think I tested what you are trying to do - I made the callouts on Level 1 and copied to clip board then went to level two and Edit "paste aligned" to "current view" this seem to work and the associated level is 2. everything seems to work fine - hope this helps (using 9.1)
