OK, I'm going to do the best that I can, but you got to do one thing for me first....just calm down a little. I'm trying to understand what it is you are actually doing from the posts that you have made. You have posted similar posts in a matter of like 2 hours. I've waited all weekend and haven't seen a response. At least where I am, most people have gone home for the day. It's just the way it works. I understand your frustration.
Are you saying you are exporting from Revit to autocad? And what program are you printing from? Revit or AutoCAD? Have you exported while in 3d or 2d? Because there is a difference between the two. What are you doing from the point of exporting, are you overlaying it on an existing CAD file? Why are you exporting in the first place? There are many unknown questions for me that I don't see. If you can explain in detail as much as possible what it is you are doing, I'll see what I can do. I don't really know how much I can help, but I'll try.

ok... heres my explanation...
I am the first at my office to use revit and we need to be able to export my revit drawings to autocad. Also we do a lot of duplexes so i am drawing each side seperately them linking them intro their own file for the duplex. when i print im printing from revit. whats really strange is that all the doors and windows show up just right on the first floor, just not on the second floor. Ive checked all the settings and they are the same. So far my only break through is when i changed the symbolic lines in the door family to show even when not cut, then they print. this makes no sense! especially when i can draw a new wall in the duplex plan that is not linked and place a door and it will print wether the symbolic lines are changed or not. my bosses are taking this project to the clients tomorrow and i need to print these prelims out before they go. i have 24 duplexes to print. the individual projects print fine. its just the stupid duplex files with the links. why would they show up on my screen and not print! there is something screwy about all this. ive been working solely on revit for the last year and a half and have never ran into such a speed bump. any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. i worked on this one gliche for 5 hours yesterday! The lines that aren't showing up are the ones set as a (cut) line, any ones set as a (projection) line show up in the print. By default the doors and windows are drawn with (cut) lines on the floorplan, so there has to be a setting to change rather than changing every window and door.
Laura
Ps.... another break through yet still confused.... if i set the veiw to wire frame it will show the doors and windows... but then it also shows too much.... but why does it show the the doors and windows now? AHHHHHH!

Have you tried saving one of the files with a little name change, then import the other file into this one? Rather than link both to your template file? Or vice versa? Or maybe since you say they work with projection lines, maybe change them to this rather than cut lines. I hope I can help, but you seem to have more experience than I do. I don't do much file linking. But I'll still try to help the best I can.

I see your edited post. There's got to be something with your view range settings I'm thinking,
What do you have your primary range settings set at?

This is a simple question, but have you tried it on a different printer? If not, try exporting to a dwf and printing from there.
Also, in your file where you link the two models together, make sure your cut planes are set correctly in that fil, as in the single side file. You'll have to do that for any other file you link it as well. Revit's visibility/graphic overrides for linked models have changed recently, and you may set them differently as well.
Hope you figure it out!

i have set the visibility to all sorts of different settings. its is so odd that they show up in wireframe and also in shading. and that i can still see them on the screen just not when printed or exported as dwfs or dwgs. the only way that works so far is to change the symolic lines to show even when not cut. unfourtunately that means that i'll have to do this with 12+ windosw and doors and them reload into each project. but all the while im stumped at why these lines show up on the first floor view!!! im open to any other suggestions!
