if you have say a mtl stud and gyp furring assembly on a concrete wall, what is the best way to terminate the furring at 6" above the ceiling level? the methods i can think of are:
1. doing 2 independent walls but stacking them - i dont like this idea
2. doing a stacked wall - i dont fully understand how these work
3. doing a reveal sweep on the furring within the wall assembly itself. - i have tried it this way, but for some reason where i have windows the sweep doesnt apply.
any advice or opinions?

Go to the walls Properties... Edit/ New... Edit Structure... and Preview in section. Select the Modify button and unlock the furring layers from the top of wall (see attached image). This is one way to do it.

You can also go to Tools... Edit Cut Profile... Edit by Face... select the layer you want to terminate and sketch a cutline where you want the layer to terminate (see attached image)
