While experimenting with linked files & 3d DWF's, I ran into a problem. The export was saved upside down. Has anybody else found strange problems like this?
I would also like to brighten the DWF. I've lightened the surface colors & patterns but everything is still dark. Any suggestions?

you will not have any such problems with Dwf...i am working with it...there shall be some small mistake somewhere that we would have over seen...check it again...but Dwf works with out errors.
i dont know about being able to manage the brightness quality in Dwf...but it can be done it if its a jpeg or pdf file...
