I've rotated my viewport 90 degrees on the sheet, but the viewport title rotated 90 as well. Does anyone know how to keep the viewport rotation intact while rotating the view?

Why are you rotating view titles? If you click on a view on a sheet, you will see the option on the option's bar to rotate the view on the sheet. The view title will rotate with it.

we want the view rotated but not the view title.
if you untick 'extension line' in edit type then you won't have the (unrotated) line mucking up your rotated view title family type.
ps. if view is rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise, rotate the view title in teh family 90 degrees clockwise (do opposite).
hope this makes sense

If you want the view rotated instead of the rotate view on the sheet, then rotate the view! In the view, pick the crop window and rotate it. All model elements and dimensions will rotate. Tags and text will stay normal with the rotated view but will stay in the new location.

You can use underline text in your label, to get the extension line. It will adjust to the text length.

OH I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN NOW WWHUB!
I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD ACTIVATE VIEW AND ROTATE VIEW THAT WAY WITHOUT MOVING VIEW TITLE ALONG WITH IT.
I HAVE MY SHEETS SET UP AND ALIGNED SO WILL KEEP IT THE WAY I HAVE IT AS THIS ALSO WORKS.
THANKS FOR UNDERLINE LABEL TIP

I've answered this question many times over the years and it seems it is always hard to get across. I had never done the image of the 3 possibilities before and I should have.
BTW - The rotate view on sheet is only 90 degree increments but the rotate view is any angle. Really usefull if you have a portion of your plan at an angle. Simply rotate the view to work in that area and everything in that area will be orthographic 0/90 while working.

Unfortunately, rotating the view is ‘messing up’ the annotations. Could be an issue when all the annotations are already in place. Personally, if I have to rotate the view (let’s say for a few plots on a different paper size, other than it was set up at the beginning), I do it on the sheet without rotating the view title though. To read the drawing, one needs to rotate the sheet, and the view title calls for that.
Just my 2 cents.
