I understand the fact that not everything can or should be modeled in a bim model, but showing specific joist locations seems like it's too important to just have implied with the use of creating an architectural floor system. I see that at least you can create a structural beam system under the structure tab, but of course, the properties for that system are exclusive to the structure itself and not to the rest of the floor system. the structural beam system shows joists, but it doesn't show the option of a continuous rim board!!! does ANYBODY know how to get modeled joists synced up with an architectural floor system, so that they can be updated and changed as one system? thanks for any replies whether they are constructive or you just feel my pain.

If you really want them to show, you can put the 3d joist in and array it.  Very easy to do.  Basically, that's what I did with the double T's in a precast concrete parking garage.

Otherwise, just do a 2d joist plan like we always did.
