Hi Guys...I'm a new user to Revit although I've been trying to use it for about a year now but I keep getting stuck. Determined to learn it fully this time around by detailing my own house extension. However, I've hit a problem already and hope you people must have come across this standard detail.
I've a gable end which has a fascia on the low horizontal sides but on the gable ends the brickwork goes upto the underside of the tile cloak. I've attached a picture of the gable. In other words I don't want a rafter beyond the wall line. I can achieve this by omitting the structure completely but this seems to defeat the object. Whilst on the subject I would also like to detail the brickwork features that are visible too. How can this be done? Is it a drafting thing? In which case you won't see it in 3D I presume.
Any help appreciated as I'm tearing my hair out.
Regards, Mark

I've overcome the issue by creating 2 separate roofs with different properties and then joining geometry.
In place family for the brick detailing sounds like the right thing to do. Thanks glorybound.
