I am currently working on a project that has a huge podium deck above a below grade garage. This podium deck has two different buidings on it and has a street funning in between the two buildings. Now to my question, this podium deck is sloping all over the place, is there any trick out there to get Revit to create a warped slab? We all know in the real world conc. slabs don't just slope one direction. Any and all ideas welcome, thanks in advance.

maybe use a "roof" to create the slab. extruding an arc for the side to side slope and the pitch for the front to back slope.

The tutorials are located at: http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials.php Slabs become much easier in Revit Architecture 2008. You can simply add points to them and give them a positive or negative height and the slab will adjust. You can set if the whole slab slopes or just the top surface.

" RAC08 has now been released. There are a few handy little toys you'll like in there. Note with the new Floor and Roof point edit tool your sketch cannot have curved segments. However, the workaround is to create the sketch with straight edges then use the opening tool to cut the sketch to the appropriate shape.

Finally I'm in. Ok I also have that same problem with having a warped slab. I have done the tutorial by eldados, worked great, but I cant trim or cut the roof to make it fit perfectly. I am on Revit 9.1. How can I get in on Revit Architecture 2008 and do the sloped slabs work in this new version. I was under the impression that it only worked for Revit Structure 2008.

Of course they work. If you are on subscription you should have received a DVD of RAC2008 well and truly by now. Alternatively you can download it from Autodesk Subscription Centre.

I found tiling does not show right when I use the slab shaoing tool. (I have another post re this, but has no bites) I draw as I build so I use a structural slab and a finishing slab on top
