how do you do screenshots of floor plans and that etc?

Not sure what you are trying to achieve exactly??
But windows screenshots are achieved using
Ctrl+PrtScn = whole screen
Alt+PrtScn = Active window
You can also you use File-->Export-->Image in revit to export and image of the current view.

ok well what i was trying to do was get screenshot and email it to someone

just remember that with the PrtScn methods by Mr. Spot you have to then paste the image into some other graphic application and save it to some graphic format.

There is a very easy way to do this with photoshop installed.
simple start p-shop
hit 'PRINT SCREEN' button on keyboard
go to photoshop....hit file - new....enter
new file opens at your sceen resolution
hit ctrl-v
done
alternatively if you do not have photoshop installed you can go to
www.tucows.com
and download a free screen capture app
