I run Revit on an XP Home machine at home and it works fine.
To run Revit in a netwok environment and use worksets/central file then you would need XP Pro as XP home does not provide the required robust network support needed.
For the few extra buck I plan on going XP Pro (or Vista) for my next home PC.
