I have been searching for a way to adjust the aquivalent of a lens in Revit Whenever I create a camera the view begins too small, then when I stretch out the window box in the view the view becomes far too distorted to use. I usually would specify a camera lens between 18 -35mm in Autocad or other programs, is this possible? Help would be much appreciated ! ! !

I believe that when you place a camera the lens is equivelant to 35mm. To adjust the secne, you should not stretch the view box. Rather you should explore using the camera adjustments by pressing F8 and using those tools. You can also move the camera in a plan or elevation view by going to the plan or elevation/section and then right click on the 3D view and activate "show camera" HTH Tom

Thanks That does help a bit, I discovered that there are a few more settings within the Dynamic view dialogue -field of view, which certainly helps adjust the view. Still no sign of a setting to adjust the default lens from 35mm to 18mm or other. Appreciated

Although it doesn't give you a lens size, the Dynamic view dialogue -field of view does adjust the lens. Back out a ways and you'll see that the lens is no longer a "normal" lens.

I have the same problem trying to re create an 18mm lens and have adopted the same approach as yourself, As far as I can make out the Angle of View for an 188mm lens is 69degrees and I try to adjust the view box to give me this. It is not perfect and I have come across other problems ie the camera was not perfectly levl when taking the shot. Being able to enter a value for the AoV would be a great help. Hope you find an answer. Chrisd.
