Is anyone using this product or something similar with Revit... and if so any info or opinions about it?
Their seems to be a lot of time spent updating drawings and specifications, and often its using a very human 'spot and remember the difference' approach... which is fallible and leads to mistakes.

e-SPECS looks really good and i've looked into it a couple of months ago. I've contacted e-SPECS via email for local distributor or reseller (i'm also in australia) with no sucess. maybe we should aproach these guys for their Aust. rights !!! I'd love to have a try of this product. Let me know if you have any joy.

I've contacted Karelcad and suggested they look at it... they'll probably have more influence than ourselves... as well as more resources to tailor it to Australian needs. At the moment it seems that its only an application with uses in the US.
I'm surprised that they haven't tried to get something similar here for integration with Revit.
I suggest we get an interest group and encourage someone like Karelcad to get it going for us. I'm also surprised that no other reviteers in Australia have expressed interest in this product to date.

I too have attacked karelcad in Brisbane and while they were impressed with how i described how it worked and they had a look at the website, i don't think they've followed it up any further. I believe the product is fairly easy to customise to your own company master spec if you have one but knowing this it should also be fairly easy to customise to suite the australian version of NATSPEC or whatever you use. Keep us posted if any luck.
