For some reason my section lines/tags are not showing up on my floor plan. I have checked the visiblilty and the sections are checked to be shown. I have an AutoCAD drawing linked in the file and have it shut off for visibility. They show up on the second floor but not the main floor. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

check your drawing scale and make sure your sections are not set to be hidden if "scale coarser than..."
if you hover over a section will it show up?

Thanks!! That was it. I changed the scale from 1/8" to 1/16" so it would fit on the page. When I changed it back to 1/8' they showed up. I checked the "scale coarser than" and it was set to 1/8'. What is the purpose of this setting?

the purpose of this setting is that at smaller scales the section lines/tags become quite large. Under certain circumstanes/scales you might not want to show these items. this setting allows you to do it globally throughout the project

I am having a similar problem but it has not been solved by the "set scale coarser than" or moving the view range of the section through the floor view range. It still isn't showing up in plan view. Any ideas?

Check phases Are they hidden in the view - lightbulb at bottom of screen Override category in view Check that the height of the section cuts the cut plane of the horizontal view One save for levels and sections that have wandered is to use a scope box to pull sections and levels into line. Place a scope box around the building Find a view where you can see the levels or section markers and assign the levels or sections to the scope box in their properties. Do a bunch at a time. This will snap as many levels and scope boxes as you select into a known location

If the sections were cut in a detail plan, they will not show in a floor plan.

The sections were cut in floor plan because i can see the section in floors 1-7, but my 8th floor it did not show up and when I tried assigning floors to the scope box, my 8th floor was not an option for that.

Is your level 8 really a level? Obviously, your section does not cut through this "level". So - how do you fix that? Many ways but here is an easy one - In the section... drag the top of the section box up.

Yes, my level 8 is a level. There is a level tag in elevation for it and it does not deviate from any of the other 7 floors. And I have dragged my section view box up like 100' above where the floor should be and it still does not show up in plan.

How did you create your 8th level plan?

Eh, It was for an architecture project that was already due and I found an end-around on it. Thanks though.

I have had a similar issue with one of my projects. The foundation level doesnt show Building Section B but it shows Building Section A. The man and the upper floor show both A and B. Section B cuts far below the foundation slab.
I've been through all my setting and my views, nothing makes sence. Any Advice?
Thanks
Elyse
